What Others Are Saying About POAC Succeed

A single voice

can make a difference.

“Since POAC, I’ve had deeper conversations about equality.”

POAC ambassadors like Dario are the agents of change in their schools. Through having honest conversations with his peers, Dario was able to be courageous in the face of inequality. It takes a single voice to make a big difference.

“I attended Smithville Middle School’s student and staff leadership development program as a guest staff member, where I assisted with various interactive lessons and self-awareness activities. One remarkable aspect of the program is how Jamie and Dr. Tracy Platt encourage students to sit next to classmates they don’t know, challenging them to learn about each other. I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact these lessons have on the students’ lives, and I am incredibly impressed and proud of everyone in the POAC community.

This experience has equipped me with tools to build connections and support others. I noticed that all the kids were eager to help one another and excited to challenge themselves to create new relationships and support networks.”

“I went to high school with Jamie and Jason they were a few years older than me but were all seems as the cool kids! But usually the stigma attached to being the cool kids is your not to nice. Not in this case at all Jamie and Jason always we talking to everyone no matter their age or popularity! They always were kind and you really felt included. My daughters have been having a rough time with bullying and I definitely would love to have Jamie speak to our school about making a positive change in our High School and Middle school!”

“I am the mother of Ankita Kapoor a Senior at Raymore Peculiar.  I just wanted to say that she has came home after every session and talked about what she has learned.  And she would also talk about your Son and how he was doing.  She has even applied the 90% to a few situations that she has told us about.  The program has open her views much more that what it was open to.  Ankita really enjoyed the sessions. “
